Let me save you some time with a little lesson I learned the hard way when I starting dating again after my divorce. Once the Notes app comes out, it’s a pretty good indication that it’s over. I remember spending way too much time crafting long, emotional messages to a guy I felt wasn’t meeting my needs. But here’s the thing: those long messages don’t land—they don’t get read the way we intend. The key to navigating communication with a new love interestis to keep it clear, concise and honest. If you’re feeling frustrated, take a step back, say what you need directly, and save the lengthy explanations for another time. Trust me, it works better in the long run.
